Along those lines and back to the Jetboil comment. Rokslide has debated the Jetboil anti thing in the past and no one ever came up with why Jetboil is anti hunting. Nothing was ever confirmed or shown that they were. They might be but they’ve never said that. If I’m wrong show me.What does "MSR is natural" mean? Did you intend to say "neutral?"
I don't need another stove but when I spend money for gear I prefer to buy from folks that have the same agenda.
That’s a fair question, and if your current system works for you, that’s awesome. I’m not here to bash what you or anyone else uses, everyone’s needs and preferences are different. My firemaple with heat exchanger and pressure regulated stove did fine on a winter hunt at high elevations in snow and wind. What am I getting for $250 that I’m not getting with my current system? Weight savings? Better fuel efficiency?
What's the country of manufacture? That’s a fair question, and if your current system works for you, that’s awesome. I’m not here to bash what you or anyone else uses, everyone’s needs and preferences are different.
What we focused on with our system was combining what we felt were the best features into one complete, lightweight, all-in-one setup that performs consistently in real backcountry hunting conditions:
Lightweight All-in-one system (includes spork)
Our full cook system weighs 10 oz and includes the stove, pot, removable windguard, and spork.
Without the windguard, the full system weighs 9 oz.
Removable windguard for performance + versatility
Our windguard has great performance in wind (we’ve boiled water in 20+ mph winds). Plus, it offers more versatility. Because it’s removable, you can cut weight for shorter trips when fuel efficiency isn’t as important.
Unique titanium pot design for packability + durability
Our pot has a unique irregular octagon shape that allows the full system (fuel canister, stove, pot, windguard, spork) to fit inside the pot for the best packability. The shape also adds rigidity and includes a pour spout for easier pouring compared to regular round pots.
Water markings made for freeze-dried meals
Our pot features precise water marks specifically for freeze-dried meals. The marks go from 6–16 oz in 1 oz increments, so you never have to guess and waste water.
Mug-style handles + secure lid
Our pot has burn-free, foldable mug-style handles for easier drinking. We also have a silicone-lined lid that stays shut and opens easily, so you don’t have to worry about it popping off and spilling when cooking or in your pack.
Built-in ignitor for reliability
Our stove has a built-in ignitor that is more reliable and lasts longer because it is fully integrated into the stove body, unlike others where the ignitor is exposed and easier to bump or break. The ignitor trigger is also longer for easier use with gloves.
Larger burner + built-in wind protection
Our burner head is larger and produces a broader flame that is more stable in windy conditions.
The stove also has a built-in windshield around the burner head, further protecting the flame, whereas most stoves have exposed burner heads.
Tight pot-to-burner spacing
We designed the system with tighter pot-to-burner spacing to reduce wind exposure compared to other systems with larger gaps.
Pot lock-in system for stability
We made specific cutouts in the pot supports that lock into place with the pot for added stability so the pot is less likely to get knocked off.
Fuel regulator + precise simmer control
Our stove features a fuel regulator for more optimal performance across different conditions. We also have very precise simmer control for added adjustability and fuel savings.
8.3" Titanium/Stainless Folding Spork
We’re the only cook system that specifically designed and includes a spork long enough to eat directly out of freeze-dried meals. It also fits inside our pot, so you never lose your spork again.
Fuel efficiency (real-world tested)
Fuel efficiency can vary a lot depending on conditions, but our goal when designing this system was to handle a wide range of environments while staying as efficient as possible. In our real-world testing on backcountry hunts over the last few years, we averaged 14–18 boils per small fuel canister.
Durable
Our pot is made from high-grade titanium, the stove is constructed from high-grade aluminum and stainless steel, and the spork is made from titanium and stainless steel. Everything is built to last for a long time.
So 6.11g to 7.86g per burn.Fuel efficiency (real-world tested)

The cook system is manufactured in South Korea and China. It was designed from the ground up and extensively tested here in Fort Collins, Colorado and across the western US. We pursued US manufacturing and would have loved to make it work, but there weren’t any viable options that could meet our quality and performance requirements for this type of equipment at this stage. What's the country of manufacture?
Yeah man, one finger typing on my iPad causes things to be natural. What does "MSR is natural" mean? Did you intend to say "neutral?"

I'd imagine they asked him to move along. Aron would wipe the floor with the whole crew.Just summarized Synders words.
Like him or not, guy has been around and had his hands on a lot of gear. I myself tend to believe him on JB. Then again he says they kicked him out of their booth.
Except that Fire Maple Petrel is still $55 tariffs and all. Have Jetboils increased dramatically due to tariffs?$250 is what happens when there is a 55% tariff on Chinese goods.
And how long ago did he say that? Well over 10 years ago? Was that before or after Johnson outdoors bought it? I don't doubt that the original owners could have been anti but that's been some time ago.Just summarized Synders words.

Premium price should demand premium construction. Generally if you're buying something direct from Asia, the product is not serviceable. Also quality control goes out the door. There's tons of Chinese junk you can buy for a fraction of the price, I'm sure there's a similar product on Alibaba for far less. Why does it matter where it's made? The owner stated it's of the highest quality build and materials. Are Tikka's made in the USA? Talk about overpriced!
