New cartridge and can’t decide.

factually incorrect my man. a 135 hybrid 25 cal does not have the BC of a 153.5 hybrid or a 156 and you can push the equal BC of a 144 hybrid faster or faster than a 25 CM can’t a 135. My point stands.

Regardless a 6mm 110 Sierra can run faster with a comparable BC to the 25s. My point is factually correct. If people want to try the quarter bores because they are cool and new there’s nothing wrong with it. But it does neither recoil nor wind drift better than what’s around it. It’s a nice betweener but that is all.
We’ll have to disagree.

You say the 6.5 can push the 144 faster than the 25 can push a 135. Off Hogdon reloading site, the 134 loads faster than the 143. They didn’t have Berger bullets, so I used the Hornady bullets. They are attached. This is consistent with everything I know about smaller bullets being shot with essentially the same powder capacity and charge weight.

If I am wrong, let me know. I try not to be.

Also, here are the BC of the 156, 143, 135, and 110. People can use this information for comparison.

28” rifle vv n550 2.890” 144 Berger 6.5 CMIMG_9608.jpegI stand by my previous statement. A 25 CM does nothing ballistically over a 6.5CM. Higher BC options are available idk why we are using the 156 when it has more bearing surface and weight and less BC than the 153.5.

I'd think a 135 LRHT can be pushed at least as fast in a 28" barrel with a similar velocity powder?

I don't disagree that there isnt a huge difference between the two but a little less recoil with similar BC/Velocity aint a bad thing. 131 SMK on paper would look even better.

I'm a fan of the 135 Atip in the 6.5s too, can run em mild and still have pretty solid ballistics. 138 Atip in 25 would be a good comp to the 153 ATip/Berger in 6.5.

The 135 a tip is a fantastic bullet. It’s a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist IMO. It’s popular enough I suppose but I’ll be sticking to the 26 cal and 24 cal and hunting with the 28s.
