New Bushmen Recurve

Here she is! My new Spartan series long curve tactical 58” 55# @ 29” draw. Super proud of this bow Steve is an absolute guru and was great with communication the entire time of the build we spent a lot of days talking about how I wanted the grip made with a flatter back side and a nice palm swell and he delivered. This bow doesn’t stack, is dead quiet, and feels so good in the hands. Also shoots like a dream, very dead and minimal vibration, he knew I wanted something smaller due to the areas I hunt being heavy with cover, swamps, and a lot of gnarly thickets so I wanted something that was maneuverable on the ground and in the stand hence me landing on the 58. I’ll post some photos of the bow and my first 20 yard grouping with it (arrows used are my dad’s I’m running Surewood Douglas-fir wooden shafts). I’m shooting an old bear recurve but I’m eying a Bob Lee recurve. Just haven’t convinced the wife yet.

There was a poster "Jinkster" I think on another site that did some detailed build and shooting posts on these bows. He articulated it well. As I recall, it was all good- he described these bows as both fast and smooth

It has a really smooth draw and I’m not seeing much drop in my shots at all even with a fairly heavy arrow it definitely shoots faster than my buddies old bear and my dads bodnik.

Thank you! I practice quite a bit and had the blessing of having a dad and grandfather who both are trad bow hunters so I learned some valuable lessons along the way.
