It looks similar to a Benchmade Hidden Canyon Hunter. I've used the Hidden Canyon on whitetails, elk and black bear and had no issues. Handy little knife.

I still like my old 113 Ranger, but I like the grip and handle on this one. Might have to order it. This forum costs me money
I think I used to get a military discount through buck but it’s been a while. I might order one but I have some other purchases ahead of it. Every year I say I’m not buying anything new…

Not bad for the steel. However, there are some real interesting options in that price range. But then again, it hard not to want to support Buck.
I’m pretty sure this did not help you at all…

Not many responses. Curious on the alpha scout as well if anyone has anymore input. I was looking at the argali serac. But wouldn’t mind something slightly heavier such as the alpha scout.

I picked up a Montana Knife Company Blackfoot 2.0 instead. Good size for my style and crazy sharp with good edge retention. I still think the bucks are also good value for the price.

Looked at the MKC knives. Just feel they are a bit overpriced for what they are. Also, after researching different steels, I like the sound of the S35vn that argali and buck is using for these knives.
