New Browning Recoil Hawg muzzle brake

Curious if it will get more standardized across the rest of the xbolt line up

There are two versions, one for 0.73" at muzzle and above using 1/2-28 or 5/8-24. The sporter version is for smaller barrels using M13x0.75 and 1.25 threads. I tried talking the product manager into adding 1/2-28 to that but I doubt he will

There she is. Can't wait to see how it performs.

Just got back from the range with the new brake. It was worth the money. Huge improvement over the crappy thin wall radial brake my hells canyon came with. Hardly any muzzle rise.

Looking to buying LR 300 PRC and strap a Hawg on. Anyone have comments on how it reduced their 300 WM, PRC, WSM? If 300 felt like 6.5, 308, etc

That is good to hear! I'm looking for one for my 7mm rem mag. They are super hard to come by in burnt bronze so I'm going to have a silver one cerakoted!

I called Browning- they don't make this with the 13mm threads which really sucks!
They are now making them for the M13 threads that come on the speed and sporter guns. Looks like only the blued one is in stock.

It does reduce recoil over their radial break, in a covered shooting area you do feel the muzzle blast more though

I have one that came stock on an Xbolt Mountain pro a few months ago. It’s a really effective design but it feels louder than the APA little bastard Gen 2 I have run on another 6.5 creedmoor.

It’s a huge improvement over the radial browning brakes on the older guns. For better or worse it definitely messes with the harmonics on the light sporter barrels.

If you like muzzle brakes it’s definitely a good one

Anyone try one of those new browning brakes on their x-bolt?
And where did you find it? Everywhere I have looked is sold out or on backorder
I put one on my X-bolt western hunter in 26 Nosler and there was a significant reduction in recoil. Install was extremely simple.

Can you use this muzzle break on a different rifle, such as Christensen Arms Mesa FFT in 6.5 PRC. the manufacture say's the threads are 1/2X28, which is what browning has for a thread size.
