So I ordered up a new browning BAR mk4 composite Hunter in 3006 yesterday! Plan is to get the barrel cut down to about 17-18” and threaded and throw a brake on it . This gun will be my still hunt / treestand woods gun , It will not be used any where shots would go north of 100yds , realistically 20-60 yards is the distance of most of my shots . I know they use to make some rem’s with the 18”carbine . Has anyone ever put a muzzlebrake on one ? How bad was it ? I’m in NY so unfortuntely a suppressor is out of the question. I’m also thinking a 1-6 LPVO for an optic was originally thinking a skinner peep but I have a couple lever guns set up that way. Just excited for the new purchase and I think I’ll have some fun with this ! Any input suggestions ? All is welcome ! I’ll be sure to post some pictures here as it progresses
