New Bow every year?

I used to because I like new bows. It's fun. I didn't do it thinking the new bow was going to be better or make me better. Same reason I used to switch motorcycles every year. I liked to do it.

The technology hasnt changed much in the last decade.
Bingo. I'm shooting a 2012-13 ish(?) G5 Prime Centroid. Nice bow, works for me. I just bought a 9 year old Mathews Drenalin LD for $225, mainly because I was bored, and wanted to play around with a project. Still setting it up, but it looks brand new, and even though I haven't shot it yet, I'm sure it shoots great. I used to be the guy buying new bows every year, now I'd rather upgrade my other equipment, such as clothing, stands, etc. If it's your thing, knock yourself out..... my personal favorite bow ever was a Bowtech Old Glory, followed very closely by a Mathews Monster 7.0, neither of which has been around for quite some time.

You can kill critters very efficiently with an older bow. We don't need to get new bows every year.

With that said, I have to admit, I love setting up a couple new bows every year. There is always something new to learn and I love it. Could I be a better archer if I stuck with one bow for a few years? Maybe but I am not competing for national championships, I am having fun.
