They may have changed country of origin to meet what their consumer is demanding.To the Cameraland people, Since you have direct access to all of the Athlon scopes, do you feel the newer Made in Japan or Philippines versions of the Athlon scopes are superior to the same but made in China versions? The two models I would most likely buy are the Midas Tac 4-16x44 and the Ares btr 2.5-15x50 (vs older 2-12x44)? The reason I ask is if a 2018-2025 Midas Tac and the 2021-2025 Ares btr Chinese versions were reliable why change countries? Yes, most Americans surely would prefer not to have a Chinese scope on their favorite deer rifle. Please enlighten me. Thank you
