New Arken with a 30mm tube

About 12oz lighter than a SH4. Not a fan of Chicom glass but if these go on sale i may need to check one out. Looks like the Athlon Midas TAC finally has direct competition for almost half the price.

Interesting. I have a couple EP5’s on my prairie dog guns and wanted to not like them but they have been great for guns I don’t compete with and where weight isn’t an issue. Would be a great little ranch or truck gun scope if it’s durable. Never know when you need to spin a turret and let one fly at a coyote for cheap!

Ooops meant to type SH4 instead. Weight is the killer for me but 23.7oz isnt too bad. Roughly a pound lighter than a EP5. So its nearly the same as a Midas TAC 4-16x44 but has illumination. I really liked the Midas TAC specs but not for $600+. I can think of several scopes i would rather have for that kinda cash.

I ordered one. Besides the Chicom deal, there's lots to like about it, IMO.

I looked through a 6-24 Arken this week. well worth the price. I need a few of these for rimfires and plinkers. I think you can get an Arken for less than 300 and not very many go back for warranty.

You can but they are 35oz and up. The SH4s can be had for as low as $290. I just dont have a need for a 35oz scope with a 34mm tube. The EPL is a claimed 23.7oz and its only $90 more for glass like the EP5.

The new Arken specs out almost identical to the old Vortex Viper HST. Just has updated turrets essentially. I have the Viper, may grab the Arken to see side by side
