I like where this is headed.

Great to hear. Hopefully there is 1/2 liner offered. Can you comment on how it would differ from the Twlight?

I've never used that tent, but I this design is different in terms of shape and design focus. Our tent is focused on maximizing space, weight and ease of use. We will use side doors instead of a single entry so you don't have to crawl over each other to get in and out, you'll be able to use trekking poles to pitch it, while also making the pitch fast and simple.

Prove it... Post up the design 😉

Not sure if this feedback is what you're looking for. But I would really love a bomb-proof, backpackable free-standing tent with a bathtub floor and a stove jack. Maybe something like a Hilleberg Tarra with a stove jack in one of the vestibules.

There are a lot of tipi-type hot tents, and they're all sorta getting to look the same. I have a Kifaru and a Seek Outside tent (sorry--no Argali tents yet) My problem with those is that they blow over or leak water under the sides in really severe weather conditions.

I'd love a more stable and weather-proof (and yes--I know heavier) tent with a stove jack.

This is good to hear. What you are looking for is not the focus for this tent as it will not be free standing. But, this is actually helpful to hear and not the first request I've had for this type of tent. I have been playing around with a free standing tent design (absolutely no timeline on release as it is early stages) and this is one of the features we are considering.

Giving you all a sneak peak of the latest proto for any of you that are interested to give you a sense of the tent, space, etc.. The name of it is going to be the Lemhi 3P. The width is the same as our Rincon 2P Tent, so you can use two half inserts on either end or two half floors, and the middle ends up being your vestibule. Right now it is about 30 oz. This setup is ideal if you plan to hunt with 2 people and want your own separate sleeping area. I also like how sturdy it feels when pitched due to the low pitch height and guyouts. I think it will perform really well in high winds.

I'm looking for a few field testers for this fall and decided to try something different with this tent and open it up to this forum thread to help test the tent. If you are planning to hunt with a friend this fall and want to test this tent out and give me feedback, drop me an email telling me how and where you plan to use it: [email protected]. I have a few with a stove jack and a single door, and some with double doors, so let me know in your email if you have a preference.

I appreciate everyone that has emailed so far. I have a large of a great pool of folks to choose from so I'm going to officially close down the application period(!).

I'll bet that was a pile of applications.
Can't wait to see all the different ways people evaluate it.

I'm not sure how that would work exactly in terms of pitching, connection points, etc.
I was sealing my new Yukon the other day and thought if both poles were inside the nest one end would be in the nest and the long side of the L would be from the poles to an unused door and connect to the liner hangers and again to the bottom of the tent.

Man I wish this was available right now. Looking at purchasing a tent now. Are there gonna be any father's day sales coming up i should hold out for?

Ah, I see what you're saying now. That's interesting for sure. I'll noodle on that. My initial thought is I'm not sure we can use the liner webbing hangers for an insert due to the amount of tension/weight the insert would have (could cause the webbing to fail), but I'll think on it. Thanks for the note.

These won't be available until next year. We're still working out the design kinks.
