Hello,

I’ve been a member for a while but haven’t posted/contributed much. Would like to start sharing more.
I’m from PA. I’ve been spending time in the woods for the majority of my 40 years. I grew up fishing and hunting with my dad and brothers and have been fortunate to have done a little bit of a lot of things. Bait fishing, fly fishing, fly tying, ice fishing, camping, hiking, backpack camping, bow hunting for deer and small game, stalking, blind hunting, tree stand, saddle hunting, rifle hunting for deer, upland squirrel, rabbit a bird hunting, crow hunting , predator hunting, trapping, some waterfowl hunting and target shooting with both gun and bow just to name a few. Over the years I have gone down the rabbit hole of just about every hobby. Designing and tying flies to target almost every species in PA from bluegills to musky and tying competitively, building my own arrows and services my own bows, modifying and rigging my own hunting gear, dialing hunting kits, and my new hobby of reloading shotgun shells for trapshooting. My mind doesn’t stop and I’ve learned a lot over the years from asking why and a lot of struggling. I am fortunate now to have a beautiful loving wife, a daughter and son who share my passion for the outdoors. They all hunt, fish, shoot bows, hike and camp with me so we get to spend a lot of time together as a family.
In the last 10 years or so I’ve really fell in love with the adventure of archery hunting in the mountains of PA and I have focused a lot of time there. I primarily one stick saddle archery hunt, pack my deer out, and this year complete my first 2 night/3 day mountain hunt. I enjoy the process and chess game of figuring out mountain deer and of dialing my gear kit to thrive on the mountain effectively and comfortably (relatively speaking) I look forward to continued learning and sharing of information through this community!

As the self-appointed chairman of the welcoming committee, it is my privilege to extend a laurel, and hearty handshake (virtual, of course) to our old, and now active, PA member.
