The hunt I'm wanting to do, cut tags, the fallback plan, tags went up. Shot in the dark first choices unchanged. Figures. Every year I make my plans, apply, then this list comes out and rains on my parade.

Reminds me of Utah.... apply 2 months before they even approve tag allocation....

NDOW is starting to reach objective for elk in some areas. That's why we are seeing these cuts for cow tags. In some of the areas with high tag quotas I think they're trying to give hunters a more quality hunt and increase overall success rates.
