And all of those applicants have their points squared....so I never really gain anything. Somehow your stats of going from way less than 1% chance to a lot less than 1% don't give me a wam and fuzzy- grin

I remember seeing my chances in the 5%, 6% range many years ago.....and now at less than 1% with them giving out less non res tags- it's pretty futile. Oh well.
At this point I look at it as a donation to a good cause- a F&G wildlife department

I need a CABHS tag to for an opportunity to complete a sheep bowslam and my resident odds with over 30 points have gone from around 5% 8-10 years ago to 2% now. This is mostly driven by population decline due to disease, plus more applications. A Rocky Mt sheep tag would work too but the odds of drawing that anywhere are astronomical, NV is in the range of 1 - 1,000 for a resident with max points. If I wasn’t a cheap bastard I would’ve paid for a hunt in Canada 10 years ago. The good thing is the older I get the less checking a box matters.

I’ve been waiting nearly 25 years for my second resident bull elk tag but my odds are 20x better than yours so it shouldn’t be too much longer.
