99.9% of scientists do not hold that opinion. And it is an opinion, there is not much science involved. Computer modeling, algorithms, and speculation based on 100 years worth of known, flawed data applied to a 4.5 billion year old planet is the antithesis of science.

I recycle. My family of 6, on average, throws out one bag of trash every week and a half. We pick up trash when we are out in the forest. We sort it into recyclable or not. We have a programmable thermostat so our furnace and air don't run when we aren't home. We don't litter. We eat what is on our plates, we don't waste food. We don't let the water run when doing dishes or brushing teeth. We conserve where we can. It's common sense and awareness of your surroundings.

I don't see anyone in this thread advocating for a destructive lifestyle for our planet. Please point that out if you can.

Global warming, Climate Change, and whatever they decide to term it next year is not science. There is no proof and there is very little, if any factual information involved. Live like a decent human that appreciates what you have and would like to see your children have the same things. That isn't a political doctrine or fear mongering. That isn't a "slippery slope" argument. Take your self righteousness and projecting elsewhere.

Loving the “we have only 100 years of crap science they don’t know!!!” Like ice core samples haven’t been a thing for decades with thousands of scientific papers and millions of dollars of research. The against crowd points to our knowledge of past climate changes and in the same breath our inability to know the climate to any extent. Bonkers. As is the well my neighbor is burning down their house so let’s keep on keeping on and you know hope my house doesn’t catch.

Again and again in human history, and almost always "based upon science", whenever a group feels they are too "right" to be questioned or challenged, they almost always end up standing in the way of the real progress and the understanding to come.

Paradigm shifts in human understanding are the norm, not the exception. Please read the history of science and question boldly...that doesn't make you a conspiracy theorist, but rather a real scientist yourself.

Project, deflect, strawman. Repeat.

Is the climate changing? We are in a warming trend. Is that abnormal? Is it part of the normal cyclical climate of the planet? Is is different than previous warming trends? If so have all warming and cooling trends been identical until now? What caused them to be different before we ruined the earth? What intervention prevented them? What if we throttle back the human activity and rapidly reenter a cooling interglacial period? Then we are all going to freeze to death and be covered in ice.

Also loving the in one breath claiming 99.9% of science agrees and then in the same breath claiming so what if they are wrong is this a bad thing. Glass houses.

Again, could you point me to those that are claiming we should treat the environment with a "scorched earth" type policy? So far, you've been the only one pigeon holing anyone that doesn't ascribe to Global Warming, Climate Change ideology into that group.

Care to elaborate on this point? I'm not sure of many types of modern farming, that don't involve many aspects of science.

In my field (pun intended) of farming, it's used heavily.

Look where rural America votes...

Wow always good to see the "outdoor"community" rally against "democratic/liberal" values lol.

If that hasn't turned your face red and closed your ears yet I do have a somewhat serious question but its the internet so I won't hold my breath.

As was pointed out 99.9% of scientists say the current trending of global climate change is man made at a highly accelerated rate, which will lead to mass population loss of all species, crop loss, famine, "super storms" etc. .

That's hilarious, maybe it was meant to be ironic? That remaining .1% of scientists must be the most influential tiny minority to ever exist. The dissent they've created is astounding, we better hope they don't get ambitious, they'll all be world leaders.

So what is so terrible about what these liberal hippy personification of evil dems saying if no one here is wanting to “scorch earth” and burn as many rubber tires as granddad did? I’m still lost on the outrage and hate other then “they” are the ones saying it. Like if they had a red R it’d be gospel smh.

Continue ignoring the answers to your “questions” yes it is different yes it is dangerous it’s just the “wrong” people telling you so you ignore deflect and demonize

Sorry, not a republican. They are just as stupid and corrupt as the democrats.

Continue with your strawmen.

Maybe "Our Planet" should just be watched on Mute.
I'm going to guess the video portion would be more entertaining than most hunting shows on television.

From my point of view

The talk of climate change being human caused comes from scientists who study the data that has been collected.

The talk of climate change not being human caused comes from politicians and business leaders who are on the side contributing to the problem.

I think I'll side with the people who study it for a living.

I think the point of "our planet" is to stop sugar coating it and get people to stop arguing about it being real or not.

Planet is 4.5 billion years old. We have climate data got 100 years, much of which is unreliable.

Yep, humans and carbon are the cause of a warming trend. We know it isn't normal cyclical change how? No evidence the earth underwent any "climate changes" prior to modern times.

That’s the funny thing, love all these experts blaming fossil fuels etc yet they can’t prove a dang thing. In the 80’s the scientific experts said earth had 10 years. In the 90’s our computer systems were going to fail at the end of the decade. Al Gore said we would be screwed by 2010. None of them have ever been correct.

All this climate change crap is is a economic issue for people to get rich. Yes the climate is changing and no it isn’t man made. It’s pretty easy to see how the climate has changed (factually) over the millions of years way before mans impact. Only thing I believe is that earth has natural cycles and there is no stopping them.

Don’t worry though as the Yellowstone volcano is ripe for blowing as well, once it does we’ll all be wiped out and air quality will suck.

Doesn’t matter if they have a D or an R, fake science to promote a desire is crap no matter which side is selling it. Be a sheep and see where you land with the leaders pushing this crap. By the way has Al Gore sold his 40,000 sqft home yet or his private jet? I mean if he cared and thought this was real wouldn’t he do his part?

In the early 80s we were heading for another ice age and everyone was going to freeze to death.

Planets fine, it's the humans who are ******

Then again anyone bitching about overpopulation is welcome to go take a long swim, feed some sharks and reduce it by one.

99.9% of climate scientist agree that without government funding coming from giant, efficient capitalist economies, they'd have to join the real workforce..

Funny how that is.

Create a problem then tell everyone else to fix it and keep stomping around the ivory towers.

Whatever happened to think for yourself and question authority??

Or should all the world be soybean fields and windmills with galloping stallions?
