Apologies for the slight threadromancy ... Lastinline: have you been using the Scopemitt or the Scopeguard? Any reason you went with one over the other?

Price n simplicity. Caps hit bolt otherwise I would go with caps.

Neoprene - provide good protection / very water protective / quiet / inexpensive (in case of loss)/ fast off

Just the ones that came with my leupolds.

I used the Alaska neoprene ones for the last year as well. Seem to work well, especially to keep dust at bay when they're sitting on the rack.
