been doing some reading on footwear for the mountains and have tried on a few pair of Mendel boots but would also like to try on some of the Lowa Tibets.
the problem I have really is I don't really know what to look for when looking for boots like this. with me never having been to the mountains hunting I really don't know what the best things to look for are.
the hunt I am wanting to do is a base camp hunt and spiking out from there for 3-4 days at a time so I will be carrying some gear in and hopefully an elk out.
the time of year we are planning on going is mid to late sept in WY for archery elk. so give me some ideas on what to look for fellas. would like to get a pair soon and get to breaking them in good. I do have some time but want to start as soon as I can with breaking in my footwear
