Does anyone have recommendations or reviews on some vacuum sealers? I do not need an industrial sized one, just middle of the road is where I am at.

Thanks,

I am about ready to deep 6 my food saver. it seems some seals are good and others just give up after a little time.
course I know that won't help because I'm sure someone else is having fabulous luck with their food saver.
i'll be watching this thread though.

I have read fantastic reviews of the Oliso, but can't find them right now. Cooks Illustrated reviewed 7 models with a price cap of $200 and the Weston 2300 won hands down. I take cooks illustrated VERY seriously in their recommendations. Sorta Like Consumer Reports for folks that really enjoy cooking.

My membership to their website is not current so here is the free article.

I am intriegued by the Best Buy they are mentioning. If I recall correctly the Best Buy rating is not the top tier. It is the best for the money. Their Top Choice (or whatever they call it, I have not been shopping for kitchen stuff for years, and it is almost time to start again) assumes you have an unlimited budget and space.

My Food Saver has been just fine.

beachbunny - Sometimes my packages get air in them after awhile, but it's not the seal it self it's that one of the other packages poked a hole in the side of it. That happens sometimes when you have a pile of them in the freezer. Are you sure that isn't what's heppened to you? It's happened on maybe 5% of mine.

yes vids, that has happened to me, especially when I am packing "deeraroni", the ground meat pokes the holes in the bag but the other times like apple sauce fruit leathers. I just don't get those,
thank for the heads up though.

The gear section has recommendation already: FoodSaver GameSaver Deluxe
Read the wig buying guide before you choose your first wigs. Human hair wigs supply one of the most all-natural feel and look. As well as while they can be the extra costly pick, with the correct care, they are also much more resilient.

i chose the foodsaver game saver too because it has like a 10 year warranty on it, or maybe its 15. either way they extended the warranty on that model so i thought it was a good buy.

I have a Foodsaver game saver as well and haven't had a single issue with it since I bought it a few years ago.

I have the Vacmaster VP215. It is light years ahead of the food saver style sealers.

If you are going to use it often(we do), then it is actually cheaper in the long run. The bags are much cheaper and last longer.
