They use the same cam and draw nearly identical. The Rival will hold better at longer ranges with it having a 2" longer ATA, but not a lot. The Rize is definitely quieter on the shot with the 82xx aluminum, which says a lot as the Rival is one of the quietest bows on the market.

The shop owner let me shoot his hunting setup which was a Rival that had been tuned and had a heavy weight forward stab......holy smokes. So this is what a proper setup is suppose to feel like.

Headed back tomorrow to make the choice and get her set up. My Hoyt is still out of commission (different shop across town). The service at the shop that carries Prime is reason enough to purchase from them....the owner offered to let me come in and shoot on the day they are closed while he did paperwork.

Well I ended up with the Rival. It ultimately just held better at full draw. Now I have to sight in the new MBG Verdict....my first slider setup.

Were you guys referring to the ghost grip? The grip felt the same to me....riser and shelf were different.

No, they actually changed the physical shape of the grip on the Rize. It's not a lot different but definitely feels a little more ergonomic, to me.

I have an alloy, However if they had had the same riser configuration 2 years ago I would have gone with the longer ATA. No problems with the alloy at all. They make a great bow.

I can't figure out why they arent talked about more. They sure advertise enough.

Well - I didn't read all the responses, and by the looks of things, you've already received a lot of advice - so, this might have already been said.

Let's examine what we know. The Hoyt draws better, but the Elite holds better. Ask yourself which you will be doing more often. Shooting or holding for long periods of time (not including the normal hold when target shooting)? In the heat of the moment, you won't notice the difference of holding for a few seconds in a hunting situation with either bow nor the draw cycle. Get the one that feels best at the range and gets you confident with shooting accurately.
