Morphologically speaking, the pit in the lacrimal bone just in front of the eye socket is the diagnostic feature to differentiate muleys and whitetails. If it is < 10mm deep it is a whitey, > 10mm muley. I'd be really surprised if it isn't a muley but you can't see the lacrimal pit well enough to determine species in the photo.
