Need elk cape for shoulder mount

Killed my first bull this year in NM and had to leave cape behind. If anyone has any leads on finding a cape to buy please let me know. Thanks!

Check taxidermy.net, also, let people know how big of a cape you want or you may end up with a small 4 X 4 or 5X cape. Nose to eye, and two neck measurements will help.

Check at butcher shops. I was at one the other day and two elk came in, one 6x6 and one 7x6. Guy that had them just wanted euro mounts and didn't want the hides.

Yep I’ve euro’ed my last two bulls left hide at locker might have to ask ahead so they do a decent job of caping

Depending on what taxidermist you use they probably have some that you can buy or include in the price of the mount. Call your taxidermist and see what they want to do some can be very picky about capes and how they are skinned out.
