Best looking example of a hunting partner I have seen on this site so far. :D

Congrats man. The meat is good. I've left animals in warmer weather for longer periods of time and, they were fine. God Bless

My wife absolutely loves any type of hunting. Our honeymoon was a co elk hunt and we packed that one almost 4 miles. We are both looking forward to living life with our first kid.

Shout out to Ryan Lampers on taking his daughter out bear hunting! We can't wait!

My wife has a deer rifle tag this year and I showed her the puffy pants I got her to go with the puffy jacket in fusion. She looked at me and said, "I aint getting out of the Ranger". I laughed, knowing when it gets real out there, she will be right with me all caught up in the heat of the adventure.
I love when our wives love our passions. Reminds me how important it is for us to love theirs as well.

Congrats on the bull and good job on your for waiting. It's hard to back out, but it needed to be done. I shot a bull two years ago with a similar shot. I backed out and gave him 5 hours. When I went back, I found him about 100 from the point of impact and he was stiff as a board. He was dead within the first hour in sure, but being alone, I didn't want to risk bumping him. A liver shot animal will not live very long, and won't travel very far, but they need time. Again, congrats!

I have looked at quite a few posts in the classifieds, though I am very new to this forum. This is the first forum type post I have read.

First thing I would like to say is Congrats and good job on backing out of there and coming back. That can be one of the hardest things to do while archery hunting.

Second I would like to say I think I am going to enjoy being apart of this community. It was really cool to see how many people responded to the original poster with helpful things. I do not think I read one snarky comment or post in the 3 pages of this post.

Good Job and Congrats. Hopefully we get to see some pictures of that second elk this season.

Joe
