I want to get a taller tripod for glassing standing up. Its main use will be glassing from my deck looking at whitetails, but I would also use it for truck hunts for antelope and deer. Could potentially use it to shoot while hunting (I’m in MI so there isn’t much for any of the long range shooting game) but I really think this will be primarily used for glassing.
I currently have a Tricer BC and a ridge warden as my backcountry rig, so I am most familiar with Tricer. I have considered getting either Tricer AD or Tricer JC, but would consider others. I’m not opposed to spending $400-$500 on it, so just want to get some opinions and feedback.
I’llprobably end up getting a dedicated head for it but for now I’ll just use my ridge warden.

I have the Tricer AD and can stand up and glass, using my angled spotter is completely comfortable. I haven’t tried standing to glass with my binos yet so no experience there. I’m 6’5” for reference.

I’ve got a Manfrotto and love it. Won’t break the bank buying one either. Run my Swarovski ATS 80 on it and it’s steady as a rock
