need 300PRC load suggestions first time reloading

I live in Arizona and have decided to get a Savage elite in 300PRC for 1 mile target shooting. Just wondering if anyone has a load they have worked up they will share. I have researched all the calibers and rifles so just looking for load and bullet input. I really appreciate the help and input from anyone with experience in this. trying to start with a load that has worked for someone else.

I was able to pickup some 215 Berger hybrids which I built a load for. Shooting them out of my Christensen MPR 300 PRC. Ended up landing on 79.5 gr of H1000 seated .020 off.

thank you! what primers and brass are you using? I am going to use lapua brass

Fed 215’s. For that load I was using unfired lapua brass as well. I think it goes without saying tho, every chamber is different so don’t go solely by my load. I’d start lighter and work your way up. I have a friend who I attempted to work a 300 WM load off of his existing load and I was seeing pressure way sooner than he was.

I second the Lapua brass. Recommending loads is pretty dependent on what powder you are able to find. I have not found that my 300 PRC is terribly picky for powder. I have pretty easily found 1/2 MOA loads with burn rates from N570 to H4831. I am particularly fond of the huge velocity nodes I found in N570, but that powder isn’t easy to find where I live right now. I’m focusing on N565 right now since I can easily find it
