@Sellers77 it can still be done on public and my post is probably more a reflection of my disappointment in our deer numbers. Whitetail are really be encroaching on the mule deer so even in the “mule deer units” you’re more likely to see whitetail on public.

Yah, the numbers last year for mule deer were way down. I typically hunt upper platte and see a ton of mule deer. Was lucky to get a nice buck but took all of my 8 day hunt to finally get lucky and find on on the last day.

I mainly just want to shoot a ton of white tail does to feed my family is my goal this year. Hoping to help out the mule deer population for yah bud. haha but we will see
