Hi,

Do "we" (Rokslider collective) know any outfitters in NC?

My 7 year old wants to go bear hunting.

He's not ready for backpack hunting, primitive camping, pack outs, etc...yet.

He's hunting for size. We're within driving distance of coastal NC.

Any direct knowledge of someone we can count on would be appreciated.

Are you looking for a stand hunt or dogs?

Stands or maybe a hybrid spot and stalk if it is based from a vehicle or side by side.

I didn't think about a dog hunt but prob not. The kid is athletic so he may be into that but it's not what I imagined.

I told him to see some tanks he will probably be sitting on the edge of someone's ag field and he seemed fine with that.

Conman’s near lake Phelps. For what you want there’s no need to look any further unless he’s booked up too far out. Dog hunting is the numbers game in this area and there just aren’t that many outfits that give you good odds without dogs. This guy can. Hunters kill bears of all sizes but you got a legitimate chance to see bears over 500 lbs. Public land diy is an option but it’s a miserable option with pitifully low odds.
