The Oasis is 138 grams.

The 1L round ones are 168 grams for the narrow mouth and 178 grams for the wide mouth, according to their website.

I'm not sure how durable the Oasis is but for all of you bean counters, here's an opportunity to cut weight. They all have a 36-ounce capacity.

1 liter platypus softbottle is about 38 grams without any sloshing around plus it rolls up to nothing when empty

an empty nalgene is a waste of pack space
a half empty nalgene is a noisy waste of pack space

I do like the canteen look and wider mouth of the Oasis for other uses though

A hard sided nalgene makes a great field expedient IT band roller!
I thought I was the only one with that bright idea! That certainly isn't the reason I bring one on some trips but I've definitely used it on my IT bands and it works well.

I always have either a nalgene or a Gatorade bottle on every trip in addition to my water bladder. I love them for drink mixes to replenish my electrolytes without tainting my water bladder. I've also been known to use a nalgene with hot water in a spare sock as a nice little heat booster to my sleep system on colder nights. To me it has enough uses to be worthwhile on most trips.

As others have mentioned, the sloshing hasn't really bothered me but maybe I just move slower than most.

You can turn your pack to orient the Camelbak's port up and suck the air out. I have to a lot because I blow air into it to prevent freezing during cold weather use.

Machine guns ruined my hearing long ago.

How do you like the silent water baffle? No Taste , easy to clean. etc.
I haven't used it a lot but seems to work as intended. Bought it earlier in the season but the one trip I intended on using a nalgene I forgot it. The few training hikes I've done with it I did notice a difference. For $10 it's worth a shot if the noise bothers you.

been using an oasis for several years and like it. the slosh is not bad in it or else my lack of hearing makes me think it is quiet.
i got a wide mouth with the human gear cap cap on it.

Gatorade bottle. I get a new one for each trip, even comes filled with a tasty drink. Coupled with platypus soft bottles and I am good.

Nalgene also sells a slightly lighter line (the Trail products). A 1 litre wide mouth is only 107. Works for me since I can't find any old gatorade bottles with the widemouth around here.
