Yes. The bag detached from the frame and there is a load shelf. The bag will secure the load to the frame.

Is the guide lite frame the same size regardless of the hip belt size? I am wondering due to my 6’4”, 200 lb height and weight. The medium hip belt may fit me better but I need the height.

The frame height is the same regardless of belt size. I am a 32” waist and I prefer the L/XL belt vs the S/M. I like it to wrap around more.
