Just felt like sharing my recently put together a .284 Win Tikka t3x and have been doing some loading for it. It has a 21" Bartlein 3b barrel, Maven RS.1 and factory stock. With 3rds in the mag and without the suppressor it's sitting at 8lb 5oz, with the suppressor attached it's 9lbs 3.5oz.

Been working up some loads trying H4350 and Staball 6.5 with Hornady 162gr ELD-M, and Maker T-Rex 150gr.

Getting good velocity for 21” 284. The 284 case and a tikka action is a match made in heaven
I have been nothing but pleased with the speeds. Nothing I have loaded has been harsh, and all within some published max, be it Lee precision, hodgdon, nosler, barnes etc. I did have to make an educated guess on the 150 Makers as I can't find any published data. Compared it to the 162gr ELD as they are very close in length and Barnes, Hammer, and Lee data

Just curious what your "walkabout rifle" purpose is? Is this a hunting rifle? Or a pack rifle when venturing for wilderness defense?
