I’ve had an excellent experience with the Rugged Oculus the past few years. My kids have all learned to shoot with it and it follows us on the trapline each winter.

A suppressed .22 is always the favorite when we take family and friends out.

The oculus is a modular can, no questions asked warranty, extremely durable and easy to clean with an ultrasonic cleaner. No first round pop. Maybe a little heavy for some with the steel tube, but we shoot the hell out of it.

These mercy cans look legit. Going shooting tomorrow, we'll see how they do!

IMO a suppressor on a 22 is a novelty. It’s neat and quiet with subsonic ammo. But its messy , and I hate cleaning take apart suppressors.

On a 17 hmr it’s awesome. Tames it very well. Dosnt leave your action filled with gunk after hundreds of rounds.

If I were buying another it would probably be the new otter creek titanium. I want a suppressor I can throw in clr and let the chemical do the work for me.

Ah, easy solution there. Just buy more 22 cans so you don't have to clean them.

The mercy pluto cans are awesome, highly recommend. Shot them against the rugged oculus on my chopped mark IV with CCI mini mags. The micro is quieter than the oculus in short config, and the standard pluto is quieter than the full length oculus but did spark a tad since its TI and my barrel is like 2". Impressive !

@Cameron.25, thanks for sharing your initial impressions! I'm deciding on a can for a 16" Rascal Minimalist for my kids with the goal of keeping weight as low as possible. I had just about settled on the 3.6 oz DD Road Hunter but that Pluto is even lighter at 1.89oz.
