Lot going on obviously
Moms first night alone, said she did well. Had enough to keep her mind occupied, even went to her exercise group

My brother showed up and first thing he asked was about the firearms and "he knows a guy". Out of respect for the old man, I'm sure you all can figure out my brother.

So, the firearms, read through the posts and have gained some knowledge. They will sit now, and they are safe and in a safe. Looking at lining up an auction for his woodworking tools as I don't woodwork, and my mom mentioned again downsizing the house.

Considering the move back up north to be closer to her. I really hate moving back to the city. Yet, I haven't really hunted or even shot much in the last few years. It's just the whole atmosphere of city living and the cold weather. Never would have thought 3 hours difference and the weather would be so different. Not to mention more people.

Can't add advice, just wanted to say condolences on the loss of your dad. Mine is getting up there and you've reminded me to reach out and talk to him today, so thank you.

What guns?

When my wife's father died, my wife was on all of his bank accounts. She emptied them all out the next day. The lawyer spent a year trying to figure out where it went before settling the estate. There was a will and she was the only one in it.

Passed away last night. Collapsed at home, mom called EMS and took him to the hospital Friday afternoon. Had a head bleed and didn’t recover. He was very active in his retirement, had a workshop, gardened, worked the yard, and still played video games in his 70s.

I need help. Dad was a gun owner and owned many firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
My folks live in Ohio and I’m in West Virginia.
I may keep a few and while they don’t need money I’d like to sell most and give mom the money.
What is the proper/legal way to do this as they on paper in his name? I’d like to transfer them to me for the above purposes.
