Muzzleloader recommendation needed

The OP ended up buying a TC Triumph, which I think will work great for him. Hopefully he’ll update us here on how he likes it.

knights are my go to.i have many others but none have the accuracy ogn my knight 45 disc elite.mine will shoot bh209 and t7 and it actually loves swiss 2f

Sounds like a good choice, i have a few older TC muzzleloaders that have been pretty solid over the years

Where is everyone buying their powder? Local gun stores? No big box stores have it in stock and my old reliable place the guy retired. So I tried calling a few gun stores and they don't carry ML bullets nor powder.

I am shooting Thor, and have that covered already. But i'd like to test 777 powder vs white hots pellets vs the old 777 pellets I already have. But shelling out the $24 hazmat shipping fee seems dumb to buy it online when surely someone has powder locally.

I can find pyrodex and 777 pellets easy, just not white hots nor 777 powder

Sportsman's Warehouse and Bass Pro in my area tend to have 777 powder and the white hots most of the year. The Walmarts in my area will have both of them in the fall.

So crazy. Some absolutely hate CVA, and others swear by them as a cheap and effective ML. I use an Optima V2 bought from WalMart a decade ago almost. It shoots great. I have zero complaints. The limiting factor is me not that gun. Williams Western Peep sight and I'm within 1-2 inch groups. But I do know a guy that can't get his wolf to shoot straight ever. But that could also be the bullets. He bought cheap junk power belts and doesn't store his pellets to stave off moisture. I started with Barnes and now shoot Thor Hammers. And I try to replicate everything to include how hard I seat the bullet on each shot. But if mine shot like my buddy's, I'd hate it to.

Also, thanks for letting me jump in with a question. Wasn't trying to hijack. Found the Scheels an hour away has the powder I seek. BP, Academy, Cabela's and the Wals Mart didn't have squat besides some pyrodex and 777 pellets. Maybe Fall is the time. But I guess I'll road trip to Scheels.
