Muzzleloader Hunting Success Thread

For those of you that have experience with both sabots and bullets legal in Colo that are of similar weight, is there much drop difference at 100 and 200 yards between the 2 types?

December 2nd, Montgomery Co. PA. After an extremely frustrating archery season and self-inflicted patience of passing on countless little bucks and doe, I finally pulled it off with my TC ProHunter. He 'was' a really nice 9 point in October but the rut was hard on him, breaking off a lot of tines. Not the biggest body compared to what I'm used to seeing at my last property. We moved 100 miles from corn field country to suburban woodlots/State Park, which are over filled with deer. Lots of nice bucks around here but I had a feeling all along I would end up with this guy. 15" on inside, 8" between the main beams. Two bigger buck around but on cam, they gave way to this guy.

250 grain Shockwave, black sabot, two 50-grain 777 pellets. 45 yards, DRT.

Here's the bullet. Entered on the right lower neck as you can see in the photo in the above post... It cut the artery, bored through the top of the heart and wrecked the left lung. I found the bullet between two left side ribs, against the hide. It clipped some vertebrae on the way thru the neck but only lost it's yellow tip and a small bit of lead. I found the tip floating free and the lead chip fell out of a piece of between-the-rib meat.
