Muzzle break opinion

I prefer not to have them on most rifles. The terminator on my 300rum works rather well though.
I can’t decide. I don’t need it for myself but have my girlfriend and other family members shoot the gun that a break would definitely benefit. It’s a heavier gun so the recoil isn’t terrible but the more shootable the better

I’ll preface this by saying that I hate brakes and suppressors are superior for hunting. Now that’s out of the way, American Precision Arms makes a nice, adjustable brake.
lol yeah they are I’m sure. I live in CA so that’s out of the convo. Thank you

it will cut down the recoil but the hearing damage on a magnum is pretty bad. even with ear pro. bc of that I shot my 7mag without a brake. that said the PVA brakes are light and have little/no concussion. I had apas lil bastard before and the concussion was way worse

Eric Cortina EC Tuner Brake or Precision Armament M41 Severe-Duty. The M41 doesn't hurt your wallet as bad but has served me well on a 30-06.

have to shoot non toxic ammo in CA.
Only for hunting, you could practice with lead no problem. The 223 is a good recommendation. I just bought a Howa mini from Turners on sale for $360. That’s pretty cheap to get into a gun that the girlfriend will enjoy shooting much more than a braked 7 rem mag.

For sure. The point is for her to be able to shoot deer long range. She’s a good shot and can handle the gun but I want her to be able to get a little more distance. She’s shot to 400 already which is farther than I’d ever shoot with a .223. And she has a 243 that is perfect for her close range. I’d just like my gun we’ll set up for her to shoot more and get out to 600-800 yards

Gotcha. Back to your original question, I’ve liked the area 419 hellfire brakes, the APA brakes, and the SRS brakes. I just picked up a PVA to try on a Kimber with a pencil thin barrel. I had a hellfire on there after sighting it in with the factory radial brakes and the hellfire being a bit heavier I think screwed with harmonics and that gun started shooting like crap.
