Hey guys. I am looking for input on muzzleloader muzzle velocity. I hunt with a 50 cal cva Kodiak pro and can't seem to find much information on this on the web (probably because there are so many load combinations). I have a Nikon 3x9 bdc scope so I have been using their spot on app to fine tune my setup. I currently use a 300 grain TC Shockwave sabot with 100 grains of triple 7 in pellet form. The gun/scope is set with a 75 yard zero. When I use the first ring down on the scope at 150 yards the gun is pretty much dead on. The only way I can get this to work out on the app is to use around 1850 fps for the muzzle velocity input speed. This seems high to me for my bullet weight and powder charge. I am just wondering if anyone has tested a similar setup to confirm what I'm seeing on the range. Could a local gun shop test the muzzle velocity so I can confirm? Just trying to dive a little deeper into the longer range capabilities of this setup. Thanks!

I shoot 290 gr Barnes with 70 gr of BH209 by weight. My muzzle velocity I chrono'd was 1845.

This is interesting - obviously you had these files somewhere based on the dates on the sheets - maybe Thompson center has a ballistics chart as well...

Here’s another one to compare
