“Must Do” Around Flaming Gorge, WY?

I’ll be near there hunting in a few weeks, and never been in the area before. Any places that are on the “must do” or “must see” in the area? Food, etc…..

Well what area did you draw? Shot my biggest antelope in area 57. Must do around the Gorge? Firehole canyon is a nice place to camp and is on the east side of the reservoir. Fishing is a far cry from what it used to be there.

Don Pedro's in Green River is fantastic mexican food.

If you end up as far away as Vernal, seeing Dinosaur NM is worth the time. Especially if you have kids with you.

Also, El Sombrero in Vernal, UT has pretty tasty tex-mex food. It's the classic used-to-be-a-gas-station sort of place.

Thanks gents. We are hunting unit 95 and expect to stay in the southern half. Staying in a house in Manila, CO.l and Flying into Salt Lake. Anything worth seeing in Ft Bridger?

The actual fort in Ft. Bridger is cool. It will be a great hunt, target rich environment for sure. The Uinta’s just south of Ft. Bridger are awesome too.
