Hey everyone! I wanted to share a recent Youtube film I put together. Its only been up for a couple days and is suprising me with the amount of reach its getting! This was me solo in Idaho chasing muleys spiked out by myself in late Oct of this year.

Check it out and hope you enjoy it! Appreciate any feedback

P.S. I just recently started this channel. The intent is not only to share some backcountry adventure , but to also share some personal development content and growth mindset insights that Ive started to live with over the last couple years. I have found that having the right mindset has helped me a TON on these backcountry hunts (a lot more than a new bow or the shiny new optics lol)

I thoroughly enjoyed both your Mule Deer hunt and your previous Mule Deer turned Elk hunt videos.

I feel your videos showed the emotional transitions (that accompany a lot of DIY hunts) well with good conversation (self-reflection) and auxillary footage to support them. Hunting is as much, if not more, mental than physical and your videos showed that raw side. It's not easy and I prefer videos that show that side of it. It's not all glitz and glamour.

As a sidenote, I hunted Mule Deer in WY this year and could 100% relate to the internal dilemma that arises when you're seeing lots of deer, but not the right ones. Do you stay or do you go? Haha I asked myself that a lot this year. I'm of the general mindset that you don't leave deer to find deer, but situations and time in field dictate. As that clock winds down, you gotta make a move!

Overall, I enjoyed it. Really good hour spent tagging along on your struggles and your successes. Definitely subscribed. Love the serenity prayer too!

Hey top to bottom thank you so much! Really appreciate this feedback. Showing the "raw side" of backcountry hunting is a huge reason why I started the channel. And its true, a lot of what we do is more mental than physical. A lot more of that type of content will be coming on the channel as well so stay tuned and thank you for subscribing!

That old question of "should i stay or should i go" is one that always seems to eat at me haha. I agree with your thoughts behind it. I hope Wyoming treated you well this year! Either way , I am sure it did

Awesome to tag along man! Keep up the real side of your videos and you will find that your type of person will enjoy your videos.

I might have missed it, but did you ever use your binocs on your tripod? Huge game changer if you haven’t.

Great video. I think you captured the physical and mental aspects of a backcountry hunt.
Thank you! Yes I'd say what we do as backcountry hunters is much more mental that physical so i wanted to capture that too haha

Thank you! And no i didnt, I pretty much only ran my spotter on the tripod. I would free hand my binos to do quick scans and then do the longer sessions with the spotter on the tripod. I may bring along an attachment tho to setup the binos like that tho with how your saying
