I have been waiting to see how conditions would improve before we made reservations. We were thinking about staying at Lake John Campground . Any opinions would be great or other options.

Download the All Trails app. You can search for trails in an area on a map or by a list. The app will give you a bunch of useful info about the trail and the roads to get there. People will review the trail and also note things about the trail (snow pack, accessibility, etc.)

I found out in a hurry that this would have been easier with the truck. No elk yet but seen moose, mule deer, and antelope. Still alot of snow at 9500 and up.
