Hubba Hubba nx for a little over 300 bucks. 1 man version under 300.

Looks like MSR is discontinuing the Hubba tents. that seems like the right move considering the perceived drop in quality lately. I’ll be interested in seeing what they replace it with.

I bought one last year “used” from a guide but it was clearly never used and absolutely love it. Curious about the drop in quality on newer models.

I know a couple people that use them and have zero complaints aside from having to do some seam sealing on the pre hubba hubba NX V8's.

In any case, MSR is re-introducing the Hubba line in 2022, so you'll see all the NX models blown out as a release date of the new tent apporaches. New models are supposed to be lighter, re designed door and are ditching the white fly for a more earthy beige colour.

I don’t have any experience with Hubba’s myself. I nearly bought an NX 2 But the reviews on the MSR website are littered with poles breaking after minimal use.

I think I’ll pick up a 2022 model to try out.

Unsure of which version of the Hubba Hubba we used on Kodiak this fall. But it handled the rain and wind well.

Crazy to hear the wind roaring in like a jet; made it fun to walk the knife edges too.

I rolled the dice and picked one up. The reviews that were bad that I read seemed to be right around the time they revamped the poles and stitching. Seemed like some were lemons and the rest were home runs.

The one I got was already seam sealed (one of the big complaints) and the poles were all good (reports of poles having carbon slivers/cracks when new). Only set up in the yard but will test it in the rain and cold this weekend. Time will tell.
