MR Pop-up 28 Guide Lid Mod

Howdy all,

I happened to have an old Mystery Ranch guide lid laying around. I also happen to have a Popup 28 pack.. great pack and all but I think adding a bit more storage flexibility is in the works.

Instead of buying the next step up Pop-up pack I made my own mod with a removable lid. I bought a Buckle time machine kit and removed a few old straps, buckles, etc...

Fastened new clips to shoulder straps and secured the bottom to the open strap loops... pictures might help see more of what I accomplished.

So far so good, does not effect comfort, and the ease of clip on/off will be tested on an upcoming elk hunt.

TLDR—
Added a removable lid with spare buckles for more storage on what should be a day pack. Now stretches to a 2-3 day pack.
