Moving to salmon Idaho!

Quaint town. Been there a few times. Wife and I took a flight from the Salmon airport into a Middle Fork ranch once. It was a breakfast trip. Lots of 4-wheel trails around. I hear elk in that area have taken a hit in recent years due to wolves but apparently it’s still a great black bear hunting area.

How long ago did you work there?

Last shift was in Sept or Oct '24. I actually kept my credentialing up there thru last year then decided to let it go - working as much or more than I wanted here local. I'm shuttin' 'er down for good in December, calling it a career.
My wife is a Rad Tech and they very often need help @ Steele using travelers so trying to get her to look into some shifts up there ..and I'll tag along to screw off, go fish XXXX creek, get some bfast at Wally's (killer huge smothered omelet) or dinner from the Junkyard (turkey bacon gouda wrap my usual)

I can neither confirm nor deny planning to enter a controlled hunt code for elk that if successful would put me thereabouts, more...or less... in the fall. 🤞 Oooofta, tired thinking about it.

Gotcha - did you ever run into a traveller CT tech named Taryn in the last year? She's one of my wife's very best friends and daughter's namesake. She did several stints there. She's in MT now though. We visited Salmon last year and I loved it.

My wife is also a Rad Tech (MRI, X--Ray. Mammo) but on the west side of the state.

Well the wife found a spot she loved and didn’t have to convince me much, and we were able to grab a house and 5 acres just out of salmon. Always looking for folks to shoot/run/lift/fish with so if your from anywhere around there holler at me!
I'm a bit south of you, but hunt the Salmon area regularly. I'll be passing through town this next day or two for a quick bear hunt if I can wrap a few things up first.
