Moving to salmon Idaho!

That's great! I'd rather be in Salmon than South Carolina.

Congrats, Salmon is great. I can't tell you anything about the hunting, but the skiing is good and the hot springs is an all-timer.

That’s awesome, Salmon is a great spot. We live a couple hours south of there, but drive thru Salmon several times a year to go visit family in N Idaho.

First time in that area was this hunting season (and a quick summer scout trip). I like it, it's less brushy than home. But they have snakes, so I'm only in for the colder weather.
Lots of animals, get to know your neighbors. Then I'll come down and hunt with ya.

Sweet area! I worked 4 or 5 shifts/mo in the ED at Steele for 3 or 4 years. Really enjoyed it! Favorite work commute of my life! Luv'd the drive so much I'd often snap a photo or two along the way! I think I calculated I did the drive from Poky almost 200 times:

The driving conditions were not always as good as pictured - sometimes downright sketch! 😉

It really is a beautiful place - often at work when it was slow I'd just walk out to the heli-pad and look around at the mountains:

Never got tired of the views - 10,000ft'ish Ajax, Copperhead, and Monument peaks up on the Conti divide - the Sacajawea Peaks "3 Sisters" offscreen to right:

If I was up doing a few shifts I'd usually get in some good biking, hiking, fishing, etc. I did a ton of rucking up in the Discovery "Disco" Hills trail system - couple screenshots from there:

Enjoy! If you have any questions on trails, places, etc give a shout!

Had to add a pic of the 3 Sisters viewed from the Sacajawea "Sac" Center:

And gotta add Lemhi range since it's on the way:

Oh, and might as well toss in the bull I shot somewhere up there - I can't find that pin to remember where exactly that was.

OK...I'm done. Beautiful area. ;)

If you could afford to work for a local utility....you'd be living the dream. You could be home and pull some scratch.
