Movable pin sight on a Budget

I've always shot fixed pin, but I want to try out a movable pin. Is there a Budget friendly option that won't be a waste of money? Ive looked at the hha, spot Hogg and black gold but really not looking to drop that sort of cash on one. What else is out there?

Not sure what you would consider budget friendly, but I have a Black Gold Whitetail ascent and it’s a movable sight and really nice but not insanely pricey. I’ve seen some as returns at S&S Archery that are discounted a decent amount. Could be a good option to find one that way.

I was trying to keep it around $100

Rocky Mountain Driver. Very good for the money. All aluminum, bright pins, all the adjustments you will want. I got one in a pinch a couple years ago, and it is still on my backup bow.

I second this. I shot the 3 pin Rocky Mountain driver for several years and its a solid sight for the price. I was able to get it set shooting well out to 100. My only issues were that it didn't have true 3rd axis leveling and I struggled getting the tool-less gang adjustment to work. I ended up just using an allen wrench though and had no issues adjusting it that way. Really good bang for your buck.

used in the classifieds, here and other sites. cabelas makes one, but they seem a little flimsy to me. at some point, cheap items become less budget friendly when you have to replace them, or decide to upgrade.

I know it sucks spending a bunch of dough on a sight, but a good one can last for years, and function as new.

what sucks worse than spending a bunch of money on a site is having one break during season, or become unreliable during season.

some of it depends on what you do as well, if you are sitting in a blind or stand I could see a cheaper sight lasting awhile, but if you are chasing bugles in September, and dragging your bow through thick brush, a cheaper sight will fail you quickly.

if I had a 100 dollar budget and was buying new, I would buy a higher quality fixed pin sight (non slider) because you can buy more quality without that feature for the money.

hopefully this doesn't come across wrong, i'm certainly not rich, but I have experienced cheaper gear costing more than high quality gear plenty trying to budget buy. there are some good quality low cost items around, but there are far more low quality cheap items around.

I think buying a reputable sight on the used market is your best option.

HHA has some like the "lite" version that are pretty inexpensive.

Don't have all the features of some of the others but they're well made.
