I got my first suppressors last year and had both Xbolts threaded and ready to go. I noticed at the range I could see a bit of of the can in the FOV but it didn't seem to matter much. The problem showed up at twilight though. The raw finish of the can really messed with resolution in low light.

That scope went to a different rifle and now I have a 30mm tube scope with 42mm objective coming.

I've previously used tallys but I'm not married to them. Should I use high mounts to clear the can?

Can will be getting coated before long.

I use high mounts, but it won’t always get the suppressor out of view. The mount height is for my comfort and style of shooting.

You can use a low profile suppressor cover like our LS Wild version for no glare. It’s temporarily not available but will come on line again soon. It will also help mitigate mirage.

the can being in your field of view is almost certainly a side effect of a large field of view at low power, rather than a mount height issue. (and one that raising your scope height a fraction of an inch will not solve)

If it's bothering you the answer is a cover or cerakote, but the cover is probably cheaper. If it's a can that doesn't see heavy fire schedules you could always spray paint it with higher temp paint.
