Rob where in WY are you at? There's probably someone near you that has one or both bags. I've got a MW you can see anytime if you're in the Buffalo/Sheridan area.
Don't forget the problem about what color/pattern do you choose?
I think I've decided that I would be happen with any color except Coyote Brown. For walking around down here in these Alabama woods I do not want to have that much deer color brown on my back. I'm enjoying this thread because these are two of the packs I have narrowed down to myself. I have a DT2 right now but I think I'm leaning towards the Rekoning for this coming season.
Had the same thoughts as I was contemplating upgrading my pack -- MW or Reckoning.
These things sold me on the Reckoning:
1. Three center compression straps;
2. Center zip for dumping/loading camp crap;
3. Hip belt pouches, lumbar pouches, and lid pouches create plenty of accessibility for small stuff;
4. Easy modification to carry the water bladder inside;
5. Internal organization is the only issue that doesn't have a quick fix but can be negotiated with usual stuff sacks, etc.

Dave at Native Textiles is going to cut a button-hole port just below where the hypalon sleeve for the frame attaches.
For the inside, I'm going to have him sew a 1/4 length or 1/2 length pouch of siltarp for a 3L bladder.
maybe its just me, but Id much rather have an external water bladder set up like the reckoning has. I don't have that pack yet, but any pack with an internal water bladder pocket to me seems like a risk. If the bladder fails, your gear gets wet. If my sleeping bag is in there, and Im on way way into the back country...that's just a BAD start to a trip!! NOT trying to derail the original post, just the opposite in fact...im listing another reason why I personally like the reckoning as an option. My biggest concern with the reckoning (and a few of the other bags) is spotting scope protection in those pockets. If im carrying a load of meat, and my spotter is in the side pocket, AND the straps are all cinched down, that spotter is going to be right under those straps. Jordan mentioned putting the spotter in the lid under those circumstances, and I think that might be a good option when carrying a heavy load. Anyways, I still have my eyes on a reckoning as well. But this is a great topic, because I too have been wondering (MW or reckoning).
