Who has the best price on mountain house, or any brand, meals?

Its seems like the are all priced the same from store to store the only difference is on shipping. The last peak meals I got was off Amazon from their storefront.

Walmart has freeze dried meals in the grocery section. They come in gallon or 5 gallon or single serving pouches like MH.

I haven't tried them but they aren't $10 a piece. They are $6 or so per pouch.

Several Mountain House are as good as any of the others in my experience. I buy at Walmart and Sportsman's, but deals are found periodically on Amazon.

My local Walmart has them in the camping section and they go on sale there. Don’t use them as much as I used to though.

Meal Squirrel Ratings by Clever Hiker has been very reliable for us. We have tried at least 8 different manufacturers and many different meals, from MH to Peak to Backpacker Pantry and some boutique brands. Amazing how some Mountain House meals are as good or better than any of the others. For us, trying side by side with Mountain House kicked Peak off the table. There is no wrong when it comes to personal taste. I suggest trying meals side by side to reduce personal bias. Hard to argue with food that is right in front of your face. Miranda in the wild did a nice test with similar surprises when compared head to head.
