Let me make this really f’n simple:

Intended target
Capable distance
Expected distance
Bullet to do so
Package to get it there

I don’t know how shooting got so f’n complicated but everyone wants to start in the middle and f’n work sideways.

Let me further blow your mind, pun intended:

Ever see the thread “how can I teach myself to judge the wind better”

Of course not. I just need me a new gun.

Do guys hunt anymore or just jack off to made up problems that only exist on the internet?

Sauer 100 is a pretty crazy accurate rifle. seems some what unkown but is by far the most accurate rifle i own.
I am really interested in these rifles. What cartridge are you shooting and what kind of groups are you getting?

i'm getting solid .6 moa at 200 yds with factory ammo. have some test reloads made up but have not got out to shoot them yet. most my other rifles its a struggle to shoot 1 moa with factory ammo. i would compare out of box accuracy to a tikka, but the stock and magazine are a lot nicer in my opinion. its chambered in a 6.5 prc.

Amen...…..couldn't have said it any better. Refreshing to see there are still others that know the simplicity!

Sounds like a solid endorsement to me! I took the plunge and got a Seekins Havak in 6.5PRC last year, but I'm a big Tikka fan otherwise. Was thinking of picking up one of these Sauers in a common caliber "just cuz". ;)

I can’t deny savage rifle accuracy. I have 3 of them. They do leave a bit to be desired in every other department though in my humble opinion. I’ve got a browning medallion in 270 wsm, 4 weatherby’s and thinking hard about either a bergara or Christensen arms in the long range version. Right now if someone said grab my most accurate rifle to shoot 100-1000 yards , oddly I’d grab the 300 weatherby with a box of a factory 180’s. I’ve owned and shot a lot of guns and I think this one might be a fluke but I’ve never shot a gun this accurate. 4 different people have shot it and I’m sure they would say the same. I wouldn’t say every one off the counter shoots like this and probably a gun like this once in a while from all the manufacturers. All of the weatherby’s I have are extremely accurate and a pleasure to shoot. Ammunition on the other hand is expensive even when handloading.
