I know there are a few common problems with these cycling. My problem seems to be different than anything I can find online. Google search sucks anymore.

I am firing 3in. and 3.5 goose loads, and the next shell does not drop out of magazine, then the bolt closes with an empty chamber. However, when I cycle manually, the shell drops out everytime and cycles just fine. Any thoughts on why that might be?

I'm sorry if this is the right place to post this question. Is there a better place to?

I bet posting in the firearms section would get you some decent traction on responses.. Maybe even contacting Mossberg??🧐

Mossberg didn't have anything to offer.. doesn't match any "known" issues. Clean it, send a video, and maybe send it in, were my options.

You would post it there because its the forum dedicated to firearms information and questions.

Pretty hard to diagnose this problem over a phone. It could be a few different issues.

Have you tried cleaning it? You would be amazed at how many problems, especially with autoloaders, can be fixed by cleaning shotguns.
Have you tried different brand of shells? I have a pump gun that does the same thing but only with Hevisteel.

Did you completely strip off all the packing grease from the factory, many auto's have issues if you do not get that garbage off, turns to glue with heat.

Not familiar with the issue either, new autos also require some time to break in, but shooting heavy hunting loads is not typically an issue.
