Mosquito proof shirt for HOT weather?

The Sitka Equinox is very good base layer for hot weather and is treated as well. I also heard barklow mention a mechanical factor to the fabric that mosquitoes are unable to bite through it. In my personal testing so far in some very mosquito infested areas I haven’t gotten a bite through the hoody or while wearing it.

Sitka equinox gaurd hoodie with mesh shirt underneath. If skeeters are really thick you will get bit through the guard shirt alone the double layer is super breathable but they can’t bite through, i wear mesh pants base layers too for this reason. Every layer sprayed with permethrin. I hunt tidal swamps in the 90s in this and will leave without a single bite.

No experience with other tops listed previously but my girlfriend and I backpack fairly often in the summer (mostly CO but have done long trips to CA) and we both wear some older Columbia PFG button ups (similar to the PFG Tamiami). We treat them with permethrin but find it doesn't always work when there are a lot of mosquitoes. However, the way the shirts are woven, the mosquitoes cannot bite through it. We also wear the Columbia pants and during lunch watch the mosquitoes try to bite through our clothes. There nose just bends. Usually you can find these types of shirts at the Columbia outlet stores for at or around $50. Breathability isn't the greatest but I'd rather sweat than be bit (coming from someone who sweats very easily).
