I was pulling out of my drive this morning to go to work and noticed some turkeys in the field beside my house. About the time i got binos on them, a couple went into full strut. Pulled back up drive, ran in and grabbed my gun, leafy jacket, and box call. I used a fence row to get within 100 yds, set up, and let out a few soft yelps. Birds responded immediately. A couple of clucks and three yelps had them headed my way. As the first bird got to me I soft yelped with just my voice and he popped into full display. A load of 7s put him down hard. Living out in the sticks has its advantages.
