I saw a reference to it this AM on an East Coast fishing related website. No mention of it on the Great Falls Tribune, Helena Independent Record a few hours ago as far as I could see, though I'm not a subscriber.

Then, pinky swear, as I was looking at other Montana news sites, this was posted around 4:30, updated at 5:28 and I'm posting this at 5:30:

45-8-368. Prohibition of enforcement. (1) A peace officer, state employee, or employee of a political subdivision is prohibited from enforcing, assisting in the enforcement of, or otherwise cooperating in the enforcement of a federal ban on firearms, magazines, or ammunition and is also prohibited from participating in any federal enforcement action implementing a federal ban on firearms, magazines, or ammunition.

Not the same thing as what you posted, but I just like to spread the message.

I can't vouch for the veracity of the report, but "Langley Outdoors" on YouTube reported this evening that the "heavily armed IRS agents backed up by ATF agents" seized only the 4473 forms.

Exactly. Would love to read their warrant. No judge in the country should have signed off on a warrant that allows the IRS to even look at, let alone seize 4473's or anything else non-financial in nature.

He said they had been trying to get him for something for the last year. Surveying the place and all. We buy 10-12 guns from him a year for raffles and he mentioned it last January even. Sad to see them pick on the little dudes though

I'm sure there is more to this story than simple Government overreach. Someone above mentioned this guy stated they have been after him for months. Anyone heard of any other gun shops getting harassed for no reason by the feds?

Seems like if something like this was going to happen for no reason other than government overreach, it would happen in NY or CA, not MT.

I retired from law enforcement. Every agency in the country has at least one judge that will sign anything that is presented to them.

Of course they do.......and this administration doesn't even begin to pretend that we have laws and a U.S. Constitution......unless it suits their agenda. We've seen many examples of this just since 2015. And when the SCOTUS rules against them, they just ignore it anyway. And who do we have that would even keep them in check with that? The DOJ and FBI that is already in the left's back pocket? "Legal", "Constitutional", and "enforcing current laws" are just obstacles to them that are easily worked around for their agendas. People better wake up soon. If you can't see the gate closing, then you have your head in the sand.

Militarizing the IRS. Government telling us what we not only can say, but what we can think. DOJ openly attacking political targets. FBI and CIA (among others) working with the Democrat Socialist Party and their global masters to sell out the nations sovereignty. A sound asleep "woke" armed forces.

I'm talking about at the top, not the foot soldiers. What just happened in Montana is just the very beginning, and it's going to be nation wide.

Demonize law enforcement so good cops leave and no one in their right mind would consider a career in it . Weaponize federal government agencies like the fbi, irs , atf controlled by bureaucrats . Give the peasants pitchforks and take away their guns while you control all the "muscle" .
